It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas…or maybe it’s my birthday…. except I’ve never gotten this much stuff for Christmas or my birthday…. and I don’t get to keep any of it… but YOU might get to take it home. Yes, that’s right, the Raffle and Silent Auction for Readers & ‘ritas is coming along nicely. Here’s a sneak back at what to expect. Tickets will available for purchase (cash or charge) at the event. Ticket cost is $2 each or 3 for $5.
We have some awesome baskets donated by some of your favorite authors. Guest authors Monica Burns and Michelle Bardsley are putting together some great baskets. Allison Brennan is sending us a Crime Scene basket that will include books, DVD’s and other goodies. I’m putting together a basket for Rachel Caine and I can guarantee it’s going to be awesome. Bell Bridge Books has contributed a tote with books, a gift card for 20 e-books, and a Kindle. Gail Barret’s basket with let you satisfy your cravings for chocolate and good books. Shiloh Walker has books and other goodies in a cool book-shaped trinket box. The thoughtful Caris Roane has contributed a basket with books and goodies writers love. There are more baskets still on the way from Christie Craig, Blue Sapphire authors, Heather Long, and more.
We’re putting together theme baskets, including: Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy, Cowboys, Contemporary Romance, Historical, Time Travel, Romantic Suspense, Young Adult, and Erotica. Contributing authors include: Beth Williamson, Natasha Deen, Carly Phillips, Carolyn Brown, Donna Grant, Emma Holly, Jeaniene Frost, Julie Garwood, Kat Martin, Kelly Gay, Kerrelyn Sparks, Leslie Kelly, Lucy Monroe, Lynsay Sands, Medallion Press, Sophie Jordan, Wendy Corsi Staub, and the Wild Rose Press. More authors are sure to have things in the mail.
The bidding should be hot for the Silent Auction items. J.T. Ellison and Allison Brennan are auctioning off a chance to name a character in upcoming books. Kate Douglas has contributed a set of books (Wolf Tales 10, 11, and 12) and a stuffed wolf. You’ll have a chance to bid on sets of books from Lucy Monroe and Shannon K. Butcher.
